They bring expert knowledge to each case, emphasizing quality and consistency in claims management, especially for high-value and technically demanding claims. 

The Adjuster role involves conducting comprehensive investigations of claims, assessing eligibility for payment, negotiating settlements, and authorizing payments to policyholders. Key responsibilities include receiving and acknowledging new claims, managing them from start to finish with professionalism, and coordinating with a range of external experts such as surveyors and legal advisors. Adjusters are expected to prepare detailed reports covering every aspect of the claim, including legal considerations, policy liability, and recommended actions. Additionally, they regularly communicate with all stakeholders, manage interim payments, and calculate and authorize final settlements. Adjusters also engage in market research to track Marine sector developments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in handling Marine Insurance claims, with a focus on Yacht or Cargo Claims preferred.
  • A relevant academic background and proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, are required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Building relationships quickly and managing workloads to meet deadlines are also essential competencies for this role.
