Our client is a well-established shipping company that operates a highly efficient commercial operations team that take immense pride in providing long term management and logistical solutions to an array of different clients. They cover all aspects of vessel management including but not limited to; technical, crewing and nautical operation of their fleet of dry cargo vessels. Due to continued expansion, they are on the lookout for an experienced Dry Cargo Vessel Operator to join their team. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of ships and you will be responsible for voyage planning and cargo operations within the fleet. Furthermore, you will be expected to deal with laytime and claims calculations and managing ship to shore communication. In addition to this, a large part of your role will be to ensure environmental compliance and the implementation of procedures to improve environment, quality, productivity and efficiency. Finally, you will need to monitor operational data and performance for pro-active measures to be taken.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • 2 + years’ experience in the dry bulk sector as an Operator.
     
  • Have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
     
  • Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
     
  • German language skills will be seen as an advantage.
     
  • Have the wiliness to travel.
