Within the Fleet Technical Operations & Asset Management Department, reporting directly to the Technical Superintendent Manager, My Client is looking for a TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT - DECK & ENGINE with the aim of ensuring, in close collaboration with all company departments on board and ashore, the correct maintenance and operation of the vessels in accordance with current regulations, good technical practice, international standards, internal procedures and company needs.


 

- Planning and execution of scheduled inspections in accordance with the SMS manual, including fluid analysis, management of critical spare parts and on-board and shore-side warehouses.

- Management of PMS activities, including planning, scheduling and execution of ordinary and extraordinary technical maintenance interventions, in order to maximize the operational continuity of the vessel, and to prevent operational failures.

- Procurement of necessary materials, spare parts, consumables, unloading services and material repairs, through technical-economic analysis and consequent action on Purchase Requests, discussing the real needs with the on-board Commands and with the Technical Superintendent Manager, evaluating the quantities remaining in the on-board warehouses, cooperating with the purchasing office in the technical selection of the supplier, in compliance with the assigned budget.

- Continuous operational assistance and technical indications to ships for the management of malfunctions, emergencies, accidents, breakdowns, interfacing and exchanging updates with the Maritime Support Center when necessary.

- Analysis of the operational performance of on-board machinery and crew, to ensure efficiency in ship management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
 

- Master's Degree in Naval Engineering or Master's Degree in Engineer

- At least 5 years of previous experience in technical management of ships

- Good knowledge of English (B2)

- Good knowledge of the Office package

- Good knowledge of maintenance management programs
