As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the assigned Container vessels. This role is fundamental in ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and optimizing vessel performance. You will be responsible for monitoring technical and operational conditions, arranging repairs and dry dockings, and ensuring that vessels remain fully certified. Additionally, you will support the onboard management team in all technical and operational matters, fostering a strong culture of safety, environmental awareness, and energy efficiency. This is a critical position that demands strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the marine industry.
Requirements:
- A marine degree from a recognized university with a minimum of three (3) years of experience onboard ships or in the shipping industry; OR a Chief Engineer’s license with at least two (2) years of sea service as a Chief Engineer; OR at least two (2) years of experience as a Technical Superintendent with another shipping company.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the marine industry, including applicable rules, regulations, and technical requirements for Container vessels.
- Experience in purchasing, budget control, and financial management related to vessel operations.
