As a Technical Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and repair of the company's Ro-Pax vessels. Working closely with senior technical personnel and shipboard teams, you will be responsible for implementing maintenance schedules, overseeing dry docks, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role demands a strong technical background, keen analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the fleet, making this a highly significant position within the organization.
Key Requirements:
- Certificate of Competency as a 2nd Engineer (2/E) or Chief Engineer (C/E), with time served in rank preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of marine engineering systems, equipment, and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Previous experience in a Senior Engineering (2/E or higher) seagoing rank or a shoreside technical management role.
- Proficiency in vessel management software, maintenance systems, and technical reporting tools.
A competitive salary and benefits package is offered, depending on experience and certification. Applicants must have the existing right to live and work in the UK. The ideal candidate will be based in Wales, Northwest, West, or Southwest England, or be willing to relocate within a three-hour drive of Dover, Holyhead, or Pembroke. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with time split between home, office, and regular ship visits. Frequent travel, including occasional extended periods away from home, will be required. While Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax, or HSC experience is desirable, candidates with strong marine sector backgrounds will also be considered.
