Our client is a ship owner based in Singapore and has grown to become the largest feeder carrier in the world with their vessels travelling through all major ports.  As an independent carrier they provide transportation services to container ship operators and not to proprietary cargo interests or the general public.  With expansion set to continue they require a Technical Superintendent to support them in Singapore.

Core responsibilities will include overseeing all the technical parameters of your assigned vessels in order to ensure their safe and efficient running.  You should also be prepared to carry out all the procurement of technical spares in coordination with ship managers in order to keep cost under control.  Further duties will include preparing the dry dockings and ensuring they are kept within budget while assisting with pre purchase technical analysis of new purchases.

Successful candidates

  • Should have prior experience sailing as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer on container vessels.
  • Would be preferred if they have prior Tech Super experience.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of the English language and communicate to high standards.
  • Should have extensive knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.

The chosen applicant will be rewarded with a competitive package that includes salary, minimum 2 month bonus and health care.  You will also be given the opportunity to join a fast paced forward thinking ship owner working in a vibrant city.
