Who we are
Consortio Recruitment Group and Access Talent Group are two of four brands that make up a successful group of recruitment businesses. Owned by two Recruitment Directors who founded the group 10 years ago, we have organically grown to a team of 50, spread out through our offices in the UK and Ireland. We are currently looking to hire an Associate Director/Manager/Managing Consultant to support the growth of one of our four core teams. The team is currently a team of 11, focused on white collar perm engineering mainly across the UK.
The job
The role is an interesting one where you will be working to support the growth of the team, doubling over the next 2/3 years and the integration of contract business into the offering. We are very open to crafting the exact duties of the person coming in around the right candidate’s own dreams and ambitions. The reason we are able to do that, is we currently have a head of department who has been running this team for years but would now like to mix up his role by moving away from the day-to-day operational running of the team in to a more BD led role. This person would become his right-hand person transitioning over a period of time to take over the day-to-day duties of running our staff and freeing him up to focus on new markets and opportunity.
What experience do you need?
The right candidate will have recently served managing Recruitment Consultants in a 360 environment for at least a year. The person will have stories of successfully growing business themselves and/or via hires they have made. It would be advantageous if you have worked in a technical recruitment environment before.

- You will need to work from our Southampton office 5 days a week. There is no hybrid at all in this role. Your job is to train people with zero recruitment training, and they need you to be in the office to mentor them!
- You must be okay with still billing. Some people are seeking a non billing role and this is not what this job is. If that's what you want, then we are not right for you. Your target will be under 100k a year BUT you will have one. It's important that the team you are hired to manage see you can practice what you preach.
- You absolutely must understand the dynamic of our business is have fun and make money. We don't have a HR person in our company as in 10 years of business we have never had a single complaint to deal with from our staff!
- We are seriously driven for success. If you're the type of person who likes to coast a bit in your job then don't consider us. We find coasters out very quickly and part ways. Only truly determined people need apply.
What’s the business like to work for?
We are a small to medium sized business who are keen to grow but not at any cost. We only hire people we enjoy working with day-to-day and love to keep the fun in recruitment.
