Senior Purchaser

Consortio is excited to partner with a growing logistics company in search of a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Purchaser. The company, though small, is making significant strides in the logistics industry with its innovative approach and dedication to excellence. The Senior Purchaser will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize profitability and growth. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing good relationships with shipping lines, airlines, agents, and co-loaders. You will prepare rates and organize company information for tender processes, provide prompt, accurate, and complete quotations in response to customers and internal team members, and update the pricing database in a timely manner. Additionally, you will contact shipping lines and airlines for the most competitive rates based on the destination and transit time requirements provided by the customer or salesperson, and conduct visits to shipping lines and co-loaders as needed.

Qualifications needed for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years’ experience in the same field
• A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
