Our client  is seeking an experienced Marine Surveyor to conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections on behalf of clients in the ship management and insurance industries. This role will support clients by delivering accurate assessments and technical insights on both commercial vessels and cargo.

To be eligible for this role you need:

  • Previous maritime experience as a navigating officer or engineer.
  • Established connections and a strong network within the Australian maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in marine cargo surveying; familiarity with cargo loss adjusting is advantageous.
  • Experienced in hull and machinery surveying, with an understanding of marine structures and systems.
  • Background in Protection & Indemnity work is a plus.
  • Client-focused and motivated to drive business development independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel frequently across Australia, often on short notice.
