We are seeking an experienced Naval Architect to oversee the construction of two 100,000 GT cruise vessels, ensuring adherence to specifications, plans, and compliance with class rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Naval Architecture or a related field, along with hands-on experience managing the new build process of yachts or passenger vessels.  In this role, you will ensure that all stages of construction are executed to the highest standards, working closely with shipbuilders and other stakeholders to deliver quality results on time and within scope. The vessels will be built in Germany and the role will involve regular travel to Germany to over see the construction.

 

Once the vessels are built, the candidate will transition into the role of Technical Fleet Manager, overseeing the vessels' operations from Fareham, Hampshire. This includes supporting yachts in various areas of technical operation, such as maintenance period planning, project management, budgeting, insurance matters, contracts, new build projects, and shipyard negotiations.

 

  • Degree in Naval Architecture
  • 5 years expereince working in a shipyard overseeing new build projects of yachts or passanger vessels.
  • Great communication skills
  • Right to live and work in the UK (mandatory)
  • Available and flexible to travel to Germany regularly to oversee the build
