Consortio is proud to be working with a prestigious maritime training provider in search of a Nautical Lecturer. Joining a team of dedicated professionals, you will play a key role in delivering world-class maritime education. With state-of-the-art facilities and a brand-new building set to open in 2025, this institution provides an outstanding environment for both students and staff. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering course material, assessing student progress, managing and administering specified courses, and providing mentorship. A significant part of the role involves working with simulators, making prior simulator experience highly desirable.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Officer of the Watch Unlimited (or higher) qualification
- Experience in deck operations, ideally within the Merchant Navy
- A passion for teaching and developing future marine professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work in the UK (either permanent or limited-time post-education)
- Previous lecturing or instructional experience is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with maritime training simulators is a strong advantage
