Marine Surveyor.

They provide specialist expertise on a wide range of claims and offer technical services to reduce clients risks. Due to the company’s ongoing success, they are looking to expand their current team and you could be their perfect next hire.

They are looking to bring on a person with a background as a Chief Engineer or Master Mariner and day to day you will travel the world providing forensic style investigation, insurance casualty and loss prevention inspections . This will require extensively surveying vessels and interviewing of people to come to an expert conclusion of what went wrong and who is to blame. You will be working on behalf of ship owners, managers and P&I clubs who will hire our client to provide an experts opinion of the casualty. This is an extremely rewarding line of work due to the nature of getting to still travel the world, be on ships and avoid the drudge of the day to day that so many sea farers fear of coming to shore to become a Technical Superintendent.

To be eligible for this role you need to:

• Be a qualified Chief Engineer or Master Mariner.
• Hold a COC1.
• Have experience in H&M, P&I MWS, shipyard inspections and prepurchase inspections.
• Have very good communication skills verbally.
• Extremely strong written skills.
• Experience as a superintendent or surveyor will be seen as an advantage.
• Your written English must read as if English is your first language (even if it isn’t).
• Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
