The Marine Superintendent (Wet Fleet) plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and operational standards of vessels within the wet fleet, including tankers and other liquid-cargo ships. In this critical position, you will support Masters and crew to uphold industry-leading standards, ensure compliance with international regulations, and drive continual improvements across the fleet. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for promoting a robust safety culture, monitoring vessel performance, and overseeing both internal audits and inspections, all while ensuring vessels are consistently ready for third-party inspections. Your experience and expertise will directly impact the quality, safety, and environmental performance of the fleet.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a command position with seagoing vessels.
- Strong working knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Proven expertise in wet fleet management, including tankers or similar vessels.
- Skills in internal auditing, incident investigation, and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
