Consortio are currently working with a very large ship management company, supporting them on a number of exciting opportunities. This prestigious organisation manages a respectably sized fleet of dry cargo vessels and are continuously increasing therefore becoming a dominating business on the dry side of the market. Over the years, they have become more international by opening technical and crewing offices in Europe as well as Asia. An incredible opportunity has presented itself for a Marine Superintendent to join this successful company.
 

This role is for a Marine Superintendent. In this position you will be expected to ensure that the vessels under your management are in compliance to government regulations and meet international safety standards. In addition to this, it will be your responsibility to maintain all of the ships documentation and carry out audits in order to establish if your ship is safe and secure to carry its cargo. You will be in constant contact with the vessels Captain, working together to make sure that the ship is sailing in the correct direction, and offer support should any problems arise.
 

The right candidate:

  • Must have a Masters ticket.  
     
  • Must have at least 2-3 years sailing experience as a Master, preferably on dry cargo.
     
  • Must have shore based experience.
     
  • Must have excellent command of the English language.
     
  • Must have the right to live and work in the EU.
