As our fleet expands, we are seeking a qualified professional to join our Hamburg-based Marine Team and uphold the highest standards of maritime operations.
We are looking for a Marine Officer who will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. This role involves supporting the Masters in implementing bridge procedures and maintaining occupational safety standards. The position is crucial for monitoring vessel certification validity and readiness for inspections. You will also conduct regular marine and safety inspections, perform internal audits, and ensure compliance with company management systems, policies, and procedures. The role includes liaising with various stakeholders to address issues from vessel inspections and audits, fostering a robust health, safety, and environmental culture within the fleet, supporting emergency drills, participating in risk management processes, and investigating incidents to implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience as a Master or Senior Deck Officer on a passenger or expedition ship
- Practical knowledge of the cruise and/or expedition sectors
- Strong understanding of international rules, regulations, and industry guidelines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficient in English
