With a long-standing reputation for excellence, they are currently seeking a Marine Superintendent with LPG experience to join their dynamic team in Limassol, Cyprus. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to enhance the team’s expertise, particularly with LPG carriers, while taking on significant responsibilities that will shape the future of maritime operations. The successful candidate will eventually oversee six vessels, including two LPG carriers, ensuring operational excellence and fostering a strong safety culture.
The Marine Superintendent will be at the heart of maintaining the highest safety and operational standards. Collaborating closely with the Fleet Manager, you will ensure safe operations, environmental protection, and exceptional service delivery to customers. Your expertise will drive improvements in navigational practices, compliance with drug and alcohol policies, and the execution of vessel audits and inspections. You will play a key role in Senior Officer appraisals, contribute to the development of safety-critical procedures, and act as Deputy Designated Person Ashore (DPA) when required. This role demands a proactive approach to fostering a robust safety culture aboard vessels, driving performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with health, environmental, and quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring cargo operations, managing risk assessments, and ensuring readiness for inspections by regulatory bodies.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Sailed to the rank of Chief Officer on LPG carriers, with recent LPG experience.
- Shore-based experience with LPG carriers is highly desirable.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
