Our client is a seasoned ship owner operating a fleet of 62 modern fully pressurised, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG). They are the crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading oil majors throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. As a result, they are responsible for the transportation of over 5.5 million tonnes of cargo between 200 different ports worldwide.
 

Due to recent expansion, they are on the lookout for a Marine Operations Manager, and you will be responsible for day-to-day management of your assigned LPG Vessels. You will be expected to analyse reports such as Safety, SIRE and Internal audits and advise vessels on matters related to marine activities. Furthermore, you will need to monitor the evolving changes to MARPOL and Class Flag State requirements to plan the implementation of the same on vessels. In addition to this is you will be expected to lead and manage the crew on your assigned vessels to ensure smooth cargo operation and increase efficiency.
 

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Sailing experience as a Master on LPG or VLGC.
     
  • 1 years’ experience carrying Ethylene as a Senior Officer / Captain.
     
  • Ability to travel at short notice and manage a 24/7 lifestyle.
     
  • Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
