An esteemed maritime organization, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and security, is currently seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Marine Manager. Situated on the Isle of White, this company is known for its commitment to regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of excellence in maritime operations.

 

The Marine Manager will oversee safety and security operations, encompassing responsibilities typically associated with ISM Manager, Designated Person Ashore (DPA), and Company Security Officer (CSO) roles. Serving as a pivotal link between vessels and senior management, the Marine Manager will ensure compliance with Flag and International regulations, monitor legislative changes, and maintain the company's Safety Management System. Duties will also include coordinating emergency response procedures, conducting internal audits, and managing Port State Control performance. Additionally, the role will involve implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing security training for personnel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in safety and security management within the maritime industry.
  • Previous experience in relevant roles such as ISM Manager, DPA, or CSO is advantageous.
  • A background as a navigation officer or higher is preferred.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 years in a similar shore-based role.
  • Experience with dry general cargo or multi-purpose vessels is advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of Safety Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
