Consortio is proud to be partnering with a cruise industry’s elite, state-of the-art training facility in the heart of the Netherlands. As the cruise industry transitions towards LNG as a cleaner and more sustainable fuel source, the demand for specialized expertise is on the rise. We are now hiring an LNG Technical Instructor to train seafarers in mastering this advanced technology and driving the future of maritime innovation.
The LNG Instructor will be an experienced and confident professional who is up to date with the regulations and implementation of LNG as a fuel. For this role, it’s critical that the applicant is not only aware of emerging technologies and procedures, but that they understand them and can passionately deliver trainings attributed to this specific sector. The role is broken in to 3 core parts. The first is helping get cadets ready for their first trip ever on a ship. These cadets haven’t ever set foot on one before so it’s all about getting them as best prepared as you can. The second and third core parts of this role are looking after experienced engineers in two groups. The 2nd Engineers and the Chief Engineers. You will prepare and deliver training courses to help develop the Engineering practices of all your clients, you also will bring your own knowledge onboard to develop the training programs as the company values your experience.
To be eligible for this role, you will:
- Have sailed as a Chief Engineer / Staff Chief Engineer / First Engineer on LNG powered Cruise Vessels
- Embrace a natural passion for teaching and developing others
- Have exposure to multicultural backgrounds
- Be an analytical and structured thinker
- Be fluent in both spoken and written English
