My client is a leading provider of safe, reliable and cost-effective integrated midstream marine services to the following on and offshore terminals: oil & gas; LNG, FLNG, FSRU; SPM; FPSO, FSO; and minerals export. They own, operate and manage a modern diverse fleet of approximately 150 vessels. With more  than 1700 crew and staff worldwide, my client is dedicated to providing marine support services tailored to the operational needs of global customers in local markets. Active in over 30 countries, my client specializes in bringing international standards on safety, logistics, mooring and towage to onshore and offshore operations in challenging environments. The HQ is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

 


The purpose of the position is to conduct simulator and on board command assessments, (site - and client specific) training and recruitment of Senior Officers for appointment purposes, and to raise the quality standards of crew once they are appointed. The position is home based with extensive international travel, with a rotation of 8 weeks on / 4 weeks leave.  

 

 

To be successful in this role the candidate will have:

 

  • Dual purpose COC – Maritime Officer (Maroff) Certificate
     
  • Extensive experience as a Master / CE in harbor and offshore towage as well as experience with AHTS.
     
  • In depth knowledge of Marine Terminal Operations.
     
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the same or comparable position, with Train-the-trainer qualifications or suitable relevant experience.
     
  • Fluent in English
