Cargo Trader

Founded over 20 years ago, our client has grown into a diversified organization, operating throughout the Black Sea, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Solidifying as a large physical bunker supplier and cargo firm since 2002, our client has rapidly scaled as an independent bunker trading firm utilizing financial backing, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide transparent, dependable bunkering services to worldwide shipping markets and bunker procurement optimization to international conglomerates. Our client affiliates include 8 offices globally, offering Bunkering, Cargo, Chartering, and Freight services using its own fleet of tankers.

Our client is considering both Senior and Mid-Level experienced candidates for the position of Cargo Trader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cargo trading, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and drive business growth. This role involves developing and expanding the cargo trading arm of the business, conducting back-to-back physical trading and broking of petroleum products, and managing a personal portfolio and P&L.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow the cargo trading arm of the business.
   
• Conduct back-to-back physical trading and broking of petroleum products.
   
• On-board prospects, build new relations, and convert them into profitable trading accounts.
   
• Manage personal portfolio and P&L.Negotiate and execute sales transactions from start to finish including quoting, negotiating, confirming, delivery, and post-delivery service and support.
   
• Analyse market trends, develop trade ideas, and execute deals as part of day-to-day operations.
   
• Open new and exciting markets together with the company.

Requirements:

• 4-5+ years of experience in the industry.
   
• Well-established portfolio.Understanding of LC business and cargo trading.
   
• Highly ambitious with an entrepreneurial mindset.
   
• Fast and efficient work ethic with attention to detail.
   
• Excellent sales and analytical skills with the ability to close deals.
