With a rich history in the marine industry, this esteemed organization is expanding its fleet, consistently setting high standards and pioneering innovations to enhance the efficiency and safety of its vessels. They are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join the team in Cyprus as a Cadet Manager.
As the Cadet and Junior Officer Program Manager, you will oversee the generation of the cadet and junior officer pool, ensuring talent development for the fleet. You will manage the quality assurance of the cadet recruitment process, plan for cadets and junior officers, and provide career progression, mentoring, and guidance. Collaborating with maritime academies and institutions, you'll ensure recruitment standards meet requirements and take advantage of external funding programs. You'll manage the cadet budget, oversee onboard training programs, advocate for cadet welfare, and strive for a program focusing on professional development with safety and sustainability at its core. Interviewing and pre-screening cadets, you'll also undertake any special tasks assigned.
To be sucessful in this role up must have the following :
- Thorough understanding of maritime legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and adaptability.
- Proven ability to identify and address training needs, contributing to crew competency enhancement.
- Proficiency in STCW and MLC regulations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and seafarer welfare.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, facilitating effective program management.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in PC/Microsoft Office applications
