Our client is a large international shipping business who have ships such as LNG, chemical and bulk. As a result of recent expansion, they are on the lookout for an Assistant IT Team Manager to join their vessel IT support team. In this role you will be responsible for managing overall vessel communications and IT support for all system users. Furthermore, you will need to review and maintain vessel cybersecurity risk assessments and ensure reasonable risk mitigations are enforced. In addition to this you will need manage vessel IT budgets and ensure that reports are carried out into the IT budget for the company. Finally, you will be expected to develop training needs for direct reports and ensure agreed training takes place.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Have a MCDST, CISSP, CCNA and VCP qualification.
     
  • Be aware of the Maritime and Shipping Industry.
     
  • Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
     
  • Have the existing RTW in the UK.
