As an Engine Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of the vessel's machinery and systems. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to maintenance, and strong leadership to guide the assigned crew effectively. Your expertise will contribute directly to the safety, performance, and overall success of the vessel's operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery during assigned watch.Ensure daily completion and accuracy of assigned logs.Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned equipment, areas, and spaces.Manage spare parts inventory for designated areas to ensure availability.
Your Profile:
- Relevant experience as an Engine Officer aboard passenger or cruise vessels; experience on expedition vessels is preferred.
- Valid CoC Officer in Charge of Engine Watch (STCW A-III/1).
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, including SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC, ISM, and ISPS.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience in engine watchkeeping.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
