Consortio is excited to partner with a respected European operation that has over 30 years of experience in offshore specialist ship chartering, offshore renewables, and equipment hire on a charter basis. We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Designated Person Ashore to join the team in Chichester. This position is essential as it will cover for the current DPA during 6 weeks leave, transitioning into a permanent assistant role thereafter. The successful candidate will work closely with the DPA, who will provide guidance and support while managing travel logistics for the company’s fleet of 8 offshore vessels (PSV, MPSV, AHTS). The role involves managing and coordinating global travel arrangements for offshore operations, assisting in daily operational tasks to support the DPA and the vessel management team, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. You will develop familiarity with DPA responsibilities, including safety protocols and regulatory compliance, and complete the DPA course upon joining; previous shore experience is not required.

 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience as a Chief Engineer or Captain, with a preference for candidates possessing deck experience.
  • Open to any vessel type experience; specific offshore experience is not mandatory.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license, as the office location is not easily accessible by public transport.
  • Ability to commute to Chichester within 45 minutes.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a friendly and humorous team.

 

This role is a standard 5 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexible working hours available.
